4.5 stars... The Cape Cod Creamery is one of the most picturesque and nicest ice cream places on the cape. They've won numerous awards for their homemade ice cream and have great reviews from almost everyone who visits them. I am no exception. The Cape Cod Creamery is located in a cute house right on Route 28 in South Yarmouth. It's extremely easy to get to and find and they have their own parking lot in back. They've got a large front porch lined with authentic Adirondack chairs as well as a line of Adirondack chairs with umbrellas in the front yard (it's just too bad the view you have is of Route 28). Inside the spacious shop they've got a good selection of homemade hard ice cream (which are kept just soft enough to be flavorful and not too cold but hard enough not to be melty or too soft) and chocolate and vanilla soft serve. The soft serve looked amazingly creamy but I went with the hard serve. I got a scoop of Twix inspired ice cream, and a scoop of black raspberry. I ended up getting the end of the Twix so I found it to be too much fudge and not enough ice cream and the cookie bits were a bit stale. What I wasn't happy with in the Twix they more than made up for in the black raspberry which was perfect and one of the creamiest and most flavorful ice creams I've had in a long time. I don't think any trip to the Cape would be complete without dropping by the Cape Cod Creamery, it's really that good.

My numero uno place on the Cape for Ice Cream is Sundae School, but the Creamery is an extremely close second! Great flavors, generous portions and efficient service make this a must stop for ice cream!

Got there on a week night and was hoping not to run into a crowd as driving by on other night's looked like a long wait. We got there around 7:30PM and got in within a few minutes. Actually had plenty of time to look at all of the ice cream flavors before choosing a wonderfully flavorful mango. Light and delicious! Other had black raspberry and coffee (i.e., javaberry), frappes, pastachio, and a caramel swirl. Everyone was happy with their choices! By the time we had completed our orders, there was a line out the door and down the ramp! We got there just in time and were able to get seats out on the lawn and watched traffic on route 28 (WHY? Because it's there!). Definitely an ice cream haven of cape codders and tourists. We'll be back!

I don't eat a lot of ice cream but when i do I want it to be worth all the calories. We were staying at a hotel near here and figured we give it a try... I had the Craigville Caramel Crunch and it was outrageously good!! My husband, who is a guy's guy had a double strawberry cone. Never saw him eat one in the 10 years were have been together. He said it was GREAT!! So throw caution to the wind, and be a kid again and enjoy this over-the-top delicious ice cream!

Since both our kids have food allergies, we were very pleasantly surprised when as soon as we mentioned their allergies to the person at the counter, he immediately said he could get fresh ice cream from a new carton from the back with a sterilized scoop. Not all places are so accommodating, so needless to say, this made the kids (and us) feel very nice. Kids ended up getting the Chatham Chocolate which they said was the best chocolate they've ever had! We go the Orleans Oreo (I think) and it was also delicious! Definitely a place we'll be going back to every time we're at the Cape!

I love this place!! It have the best ice cream and the best caramel here!!!

Very good ice cream. The line moved very fast and they take credit cards. We used to go to sundae school in harwich almost every night, cape cod creamery blows them away, sooo much better! Scoops are big and very tasty. Price compare able to anywhere else on the cape.

I spent two and a half years on the Cape before I finally tried the Creamery... then I did try it and my waistline hasn't looked the same since. Such. Good. Ice cream. Not sure how they do it, but this stuff is so freaking creamy and delicious. Always tastes fresh. Always a line out the door in the summertime, but it is oh, so worth it. My favorites are Grape Nut and Almond Joy, but I imagine that you can't go wrong with anything they serve. If you don't see the flavor you want out in the display cases, just ask--they have them in the back. Took me a while to figure that out. After the first time I asked, I didn't ever have to ask again--they knew what I wanted as soon as I walked in the door. One of the biggest things I miss about the Cape. During the winter, I drive down to the Lamberts in Sandwich... they serve pints of some of the flavors. This is hands-down the best ice cream on Cape Cod (I should know because I've tried nearly all of them).

Yum yum yum. On our whirlwind tour of mid Cape ice cream shops this one is a strong competitor! Ice cream was very good and a decent selection, one less star for service - people were friendly but not as much as a couple others we visited. But definitely worth a visit.

  • Emily A.

Their flavors aren't super creative, but they are delicious. A really good, solid ice cream shop. Lines are out the door often, I hear that dinner time is the only time it's quiet.

Cute ice cream house. Love the adirondack chairs on the front porch and lawn. The chocolate chip ice cream was creamy with large chunks of chocolate. Excellent ice cream!

the coffee heath bar crunch was pretty satisfying. and they also have the good old fashioned crummy escapist cones for those who do not indulge in fancy schmansy waffle cones! as briana m. would say- my cape cod visit= too many ice cream!

Great ice cream! Mint chocolate chip ice cream has HUGE chocolate chips...awesome!

  • Ted A.

From beginning to end this was a great experience. My son has a nut allergy and they were so accommodating. They went out back and scooped the fresh ice cream so there was no contamination of nuts! The ice cream was in a field of it's own. I eat lots of ice cream and without knocking any previous establishment - this was the Best ice cream ever. Yes, that is EVER! My kids had the soft serve and said it tasted like whip cream. The cookies and cream was incredible, mint chocolate chip had a mint flavor that will make it impossible to ever have another mint chocolate chip again and the sundae was the right size and delicious. It is a must to visit here and you will not be disappointed. I actually went here several times to see if it was just that once - and i was impressed the second time as well as the third. I had the black raspberry and even as i complete this post, i am thinking of how great that ice cream really tasted and how the owner of that place did a wonderful job, getting all those young kids to be so attentive and customer oriented - BRAVO, nice job

Home made ice cream at its best. Great looking tourist attraction that catches your eye on cape cod on route 28. They have a wraparound porch where you can eat and enjoy the nice weather. The ice cream is great. I haven't had any ice cream better than this place. The prices are very good here. We got the 6 scoop sampler for $4.65. This allowed us to try 6 different flavors since there were so many good looking ones to choose from. Warning, while this sounds good, this was a HUGE portion. This was enough ice cream for 4 people. This was basically our lunch when my girlfriend and I shared it. Oreo was probably my favorite but everything else was almost just as good. If you like fatty Ice cream, you will not be disappointed by this place.

Best ice cream on the cape! Pleasant Bay Peanut Butter is my favorite flavor!!! The lines always out the door but the staff keeps it moving quick and it's well worth the wait! Rich, creamy and full of flavor!

  • Peggy Y.

A great ice cream place with serious issues. First of all, it looks very busy with a line wrapped around outside and a packed parking lot. Have no fear however, the line moves right along, but soon you will see why....because the rude, cocky ice-cream scoopers treat customers like a bother. Who's next, what do you want? Would it be too much to ask for $5.00 for a small scoop to also get served some manners, some patience, perhaps some kindness.Cape Cod Creamery is not that outstanding, and the selection of flavors is not that extraordinary to put up with the poor attitude that is served right along with the ice cream. Please train your help.

  • Bernardo c.

Excellent ice cream but the line can get a bit long during the summer. However that wouldn't get in between me and excellent ice cream! Although it's not as good as true Italian Gelato, this is the best I've had in a while. Recommend checking them out!

  • Peter Q.

Ice cream is great. If you don't mind dealing with the rude young women taking orders - they get snotty and impatient if you hem and haw over your order at all - it's worth the wait. Chapin cherry chocolate is GREAT. More of a cone place than a sundae place.

  • D M.

Delicious favors (favorites were the butter pecan and mint chocolate chip) but a bit pricey. Fun seating options in adirondack chairs looking out to Rt. 28. We visited 2 separate times during our family Cape Cod vacation and everyone was happy with their ice cream. Parking can get congested and there was small lines both times that moved quickly. Overall 4 stars for Yummy!!

We visited CCC on a sunny Friday just before the season. One guest had black raspberry and the other had Almond Joy. Both flavors were delicious. Lovely shop, great setting, wonderful service. The proprietor had the time for a chat, which wouldn't have been likely in season. Summer, winter, spring or fall, it's well worth the stop!

Delicious ice cream! Went with the boy (writing a lot of reviews in the area since we had a mini vaca). It was sooooo goooood!!! I normally get the "low carb/low sugar" ice cream, but they don't offer that here...and that's awesome! Because I'm on vaca and I want to indulge! I got a scoop of the oreo and a scoop of the choco chip (all house made).....soooo rich and creamy... Mmmmm.... can still taste it now... The oreo actually had A LOT of oreos strewn throughout, as well as the choco chip, with zero shortage of chips! SOOOO good, and the boy got the coffee with fudge swirls and graham cracker pieces, he loved it as well. And it's so cute how they have the place set-up. A huge wrap around porch with wooden chairs that seat low, all alternating colors, very cozy and quaint. There are other places to sit also, and I must mention that they also have gelato and soft serve....but don't come here looking for fro-yo or low sugar/low carb lol, because they don't have it. I would come again and rec.

Tough to dislike an ice cream place and I'm not about to start. The unique flavors and friendly servers make this place a win-win. Try the Oreo (which was chock full of that wonderful cookie) and the butter pecan. My two-year-old got the cotton candy and, even without a sweet tooth, ate most of it. I had a bite and found it way, way, way too sweet, but I suppose that's the point. Fantastic idea for business to line the comfortable and colorful Adirondack chairs along the road. On a hot summer day, a bunch of people devouring delicious ice cream is an engaging advertisement.

My fiancé and I decided to try the three main ice cream shops(school house, sundae school and CCC) that make their own in the Dennis Area! Cape Cod creamery was by far the best! We have tried Oreo ice cream almost everywhere this was on par if not just as good as peaceful meadows which is our benchmark! Parking is a little hard and there is a bit of a wait but it's worth it!

  • Kisty C.

My favorite ice cream on the Cape! The ice cream is so rich and mouthwatering. We went on a Friday night, so it was extremely busy, as expected. It is definitely worth the wait though! I got a scoop of cake batter and a scoop of cookie dough and it was delicious! Wait service: The employees were a little disorganized with how they served the customers, but they were very friendly and got through the line rather quickly. Wait time: The line was way out the door, so it was about a 15 minute wait. It went quick once you got inside though. Like I said, it was worth the wait! Food quality: I thought the ice cream was awesome! It was so sweet and creamy, so I'm not sure I could eat it everyday. It was so good though. Atmosphere: The parlor itself was adorable. It was Cape Cod themed and it was very quaint. There was plenty of outdoor seating, including Adirondack chairs. The down side was there was not enough parking. We had to park across the street. I would definitely come back again & again! Check us out on Facebook: facebook.com/HonestFoodC…

Cape Cod Creamery, you're such a dream. Let me start by talking about the actual venue. 3 words come to mind: cute, fun, and energized. The ladies that work there are super adorable and friendly, especially considering how busy it is. Now let's talk about the ice cream. It's the bee's knees. Their flavors are unique, yet traditional (the only way to understand this statement is to visit the creamery). The ice cream is smooth and the helpings are huge. After reiterating that I wanted a small serving, the server assured me she gave me what I ordered. As the shock set in of thinking, 'I have to eat all this??' The server laughed. An hour later, I was in a food coma. There's ample seating outside if you want to enjoy your ice cream there. This place is a must-visit when visiting Yarmouth/Hyannis. Enjoy!

Cape Cod Creamery is as good as it sounds. A creamy ice cream in Cape Cod. Lines out the door for sure, takes about 15 minutes. The wait is definitely worth it. The ice cream is very creamy and features unique flavor names with Cape Cod town names such as Orleans Oreo, Iyanough Cookie Dough, and Hyannis Heath Bar. All of their flavors are titled in that style. Service was great. There are also explanations on a sign outside on some of the flavors that leave you questioned as to what they are. Wait service- The staff was very patient and helpful to the customers. All interactions were done with a smile. Food quality- Really creamy ice cream. I couldn't get it every night. It is THAT rich. But it is sooo good! Wait time- Like I said, the wait is long but it's for some really good ice cream so be patient! Atmosphere- Plenty of seating outdoors in Adirondack chairs. Good family atmosphere. Nice place to take your girlfriend out to!

OH yes, truly excellent ice cream, although still a bit shy of Herrell's in Northampton, MA, definitely a contender. Excellent service and layout and probably way too good a seating arrangement outside considering the view is of Route 28. (Although the mulch on the side seems a bit over the top. But we don't put mulch in cones, do we?) Only the extreme pricing keeps me from wanting to pin that fifth star on, because when I can't feed two kids ice cream for less than $10, I am constitutionally compelled to start my old fart routine and think fondly of when our ice cream choices on the Cape consisted of vanilla or chocolate soft-serv and if we were really lucky, a swirl as a third option, and we paid a nickel for three cones, and the cone machine was steam-powered and we really enjoyed it even after walking uphill both ways to and from the Ice Cream Parlor. Because that really is just a tetch expensive. Also, I can't visit this place between July 4th and Labor Day, because once you turn left on 28 into the parking lot you can never turn left again. Because the side street the Creamery is on leads to a dead end, you can't escape. It's like Charlie on the MTA, only being stuck on the T is far more pleasant than turning left on 28. BTW, I'm fond of their raspberry lime rickey here, which is also hideously expensive but they put in a half a lime unsqueezed on top of the lime juice that was already in there, which is obviously meant for old sourpusses such as myself but which is soooo refreshing on the days when ice cream isn't doing it for me. For that, at least, I am thankful and count it as sustenance when counting my pennies like Scrooge and waiting eleven hours for the traffic on 28 to let me exit.

A key attribute that defines an above average ice cream parlour is a solid flavour selection. Here, I spent about 5 minutes pacing back and forth in front of the ice cream, as I struggled to make a decision - Cape Cod Creamery passed my first test. I finally settled on a Regular sized portion of Cake Batter and Sandbar Swirl in a waffle cone. I don't know if it was the large waffle cone that I purchased for an extra $1.20, but the "regular" portion was definitely bigger than expected. Above average portions? Cape Cod Creamery passed my second test. The final and most important test - the taste test - was passed with flying colours as I vacuumed up the cone. The ice cream was beyond creamy and tasted phenomenal. When I found a golf ball sized chunk of peanut butter in the middle of my cone, I felt a small tear of joy leak out of the corner of my eye. Thank you Cape Cod Creamery

Absolutely delicious ice cream. Their cookie dough ice cream, though a bit unconventional, was wonderful. Instead of the large chunks of cookie dough, there were small chunks in ice cream actually flavored like cookie dough! Outside there are comfortable Adirondack chairs to sit in while eating your ice cream. A New Yorker, I am no stranger to places like The Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, but this is far and wide the greatest ice cream I have ever had. Absolutely perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best strawberry ice cream I've ever had. The line is brutal, but it was worth the wait. Go later when the line dies down.

This is the second time I've visited. Exceptional ice cream. Lines can be long, but move quickly. I never take my kids out for ice cream because of how expensive it is. Money is well spent here.

Very nice place to enjoy and ice cream treat. We got the twix and almond joy Icecream both were amazing. The employees were very nice and the have waffles and tons of different toppings. There is an awesome porch to sit on with adirondack chairs. Worth the stop!

  • Kristen D.

The ice cream was okay. Variety of flavors, nothing too special though. The girls behind the counter seemed a little immature and were giggling about something (maybe my ridic sunburn) while staring at us until I glared back at one of them and she turned away. Plenty of Adirondack chairs lined up outside to sit and eat. If in the area again, would try somewhere else next time.

Hands down the best ice cream on the Cape (at least between Chatham and Hyannis where I've tried most places). You will wait in line but it moves quick and is worth it. Only downside is that they offer only 1 Gelato flavor, would like to see more options.

    (5)
  • Jameson B.

We are ice cream afficonados and found the Creamery to have some of the best ice cream around. The menu is all named after towns on the Cape so we felt a little unsure and pressured to order when we finally got to the front, but it turned out to offer some of the best and most original flavor combinations we've seen. It's also a good value as you get a boatload of ice cream, even for a small.

I love this ice cream so much!!!! Back where I live I have a farm I go to for ice cream. I'd never think I would find a place that compares to the farm but oh my!!! This ice cream is one of my favorites!!!! I got the Oreo flavor today and it was out of this world. Colorful place, nice workers, great seating area outside, and lots of happy people. Please go here!!!

Love the ice cream flavors...Love that there was no line when we went there (wednesday afternoon around 4pm)...love the plentiful outdoor seating...staff was friendly...Can't wait to go back and try all the other ice cream flavors!

Absolutley delicious homemade ice cream! Creative flavors with cute Cape Cod names. The line was long but moved very quickly and was worth the wait!

  • Willma L.

Really enjoyed Cape Cod Creamery!! You at first have second thoughts when you go there in the evening because the line is long but I would say overall the wait time was not that bad maybe waited around 10/15min to be waited on but once you get up to the counter they are quick moving! The line would probably move faster though if they would wait on the same party not one server for every person but one server stay with the number of people in each party because when we got up to the counter every server wanted to wait on everyone to clear people out which is great but made it slightly confusing!! But hands down delicious creamy ice cream and once I began to eat my ice cream the wait in line surpassed my mind!:)

Yummy ice cream with a cute patio area to sit and enjoy it. We managed to time it just right and beat the crowd but as we were leaving there was a line out the door.

This place has delicious ice cream! We were going to try a bunch of different ice cream places while we were up here for the week but we find that we just keep ending up at the cape cod creamery because it's so good! Between myself, mom, dad and sister, we've had the Oreo ice cream, double chocolate, mint chocolate chip, mud slide, cookie dough, black raspberry and vanilla. All were absolutely delicious!!

I was told by many people that as an ice cream lover I had to try this place. The ice cream was about average. They have plenty of unique flavor a but nothing out of the ordinary.

I have been coming to the cape every summer for my entire life. I have been to probably every ice cream place in the harwich/Dennis/Yarmouth area and this place is by far the best. Don't even waste your time or money at sundae school. Cape cod creamery has the creamiest most delicious ice cream. The service is really quick. Last time I was there I got pleasant bay peanut butter and I've been dreaming about it ever since. It's really nice to sit outside in their Adirondack chairs after getting your ice cream. Prices are reasonable and the portions are perfect. I think they may have the best frappes on cape cod. This place has definitely become my go to ice cream spot

After having tried some of the other ice cream joints on the cape ( the ones everyone told us we had to try) I will tell you that this is by far the BEST one. Lots of original flavors and great toppings oh and lets not forget about the fresh whipped cream (YUMMMM). The wife and I will be back before we leave the Cape

Wow. All I can say is wow. I'm not really an "ice cream person." I mean, I like it, but I don't get all crazy about it and want to eat it every night, etc. But this place, THIS PLACE, had the best ice cream that I have ever had in my whole entire life! Yes, it was that good. I had the peppermint, and it was loaded, over the top, with the peppermint. My daughter had the strawberry and it was absolutely delicious. Tons of fresh strawberries- to die for. My son and husband had the cookie dough and the peanut butter cup. Both of them were amazing and loaded with the cookie dough and PB cup. Everything is made there, on the premises and they don't skimp on the flavor. The line moved quickly and there was enough seating outside with the long wraparound porch and plenty of chairs. I have been coming to the Cape my entire life (39 years) and I have been to 4 Seas, Sundae School, Smugglers (skip that one, the coffee ice cream there didn't even taste like coffee), all of them really, and this one is *by far* the best. Worth the drive if you're on the Cape! I hope your experience is as good as ours was!

Excellent Ice cream with wonderful Cape Cod flavors. Long lines, but worth it. Parking is a bit of a challenge too. Needs more explanation of flavors, but all the flavors I had were excellent.

  • J M M.

Tasty ice cream and adorable shop! This store is very, very busy and parking is a little tricky but the ladies working the counter zip through the line and serve a yummy product. The names of the ice cream are sweetly named after different areas of the Cape, adding to the old time ice cream shop feel. I enjoyed the peanut butter and Oreo and my husband had the chocolate chip which he really liked and the cherry (they were out of Bananas Foster) which he thought was good not great. The kids loved the vanilla.

A must visit stop when on the Cape. Fabulous ice cream. My favorite is Barnstable Bananas Foster, but I have had several other flavors and none disappoint. Worth the indulgence!

Small but fabulous selection makes this place a must try if you are visiting the Cape. Their peanut ice cream with M&Ms on top was fantastic. I had the small scoop which was plenty for me. They have nice comfortable chairs outside to hang out while eating your cone. Super spot!

Found this place after frequent trips to the area. It's a nice little place and the staff was helpful with making selections and very fast. A bus load of people came after me and they took care of everyone within a few minutea. Ice cream was delicious, by far some of the best I've had and the names of the ice cream were pretty cool and unique. The outdoor seating was nice as well. Cost wise it is pretty affordable and you get a lot for your money. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. I will be stopping by more often when I'm in town.

  • Andrew A.

My parents live right down the street. Usually there is a wait in line. Yet, the line moves quickly due to all the hard working girls behind the counter. It is best to know what you want by the time you get to the counter. The ice cream is creamy and has an unbelievable selection of "Cape Cod" themed names. This is my favorite stop, while I vacation in West Yarmouth, MA.

    (5)
  • Brian W.

The ice cream isn't worth the price you pay or these 5 star ratings that seem to be handed out like candy. The setting is nice with outdoor space and lots of colorful adirondack chairs. The flavors are interesting with Cape Cod names, but the actual ice cream is just ok. There were no frozen yogurt options and only one flavor of Gelato on the night we stopped in. You probably have better ice cream at the little place in your hometown, but if you're on the Cape for vacation it's hard to resist stopping in and overpaying for some super creamy/heavy ice cream.

  • Caz C.

Ice cream worth waiting for and if you're there after dinner time, expect a wait. For all I know the line is out the door all day long, but I can attest to the lines in the evening. There were probably about 8 girls/young women working and one young man when I was there. It's a little disorganized in that it's hard to tell who's waiting on whom, who's waiting for their order and when your turn is. That said, they all seemed friendly and mostly cheerful. The ice cream is excellent. I had a sundae with no nuts which gave me the option of adding a second topping. I went with hot fudge and caramel on vanilla. Classic. The whipped cream was fresh fresh and unsweetened or only very lightly sweetened, which is how it should be on a big dish of sweetness like a sundae. Five stars on the sundae. No Cape Cod Classic Flavor - Frozen Pudding. Unacceptable! heh The hot fudge topping was thinner than it is at some other top ice cream parlors. Strawberry heaven is their strawberry ice cream (which has a longer name than that, but you know, it's strawberry ice cream).

    (4)
  • Joanna F.

I know it's because I'm comparing it to Sundae School, but I just wasn't blown away by this ice cream. I got the peanut butter ice cream with hot fudge. It was fine, but the ice cream couldn't really stand up to the hot fudge and the hot fudge tasted like heated Hershey syrup (a real downgrade from the AMAZING homemade hot fudge at Sundae School). However, I do like the names of the ice cream (all based on Cape Cod towns) and the outdoor area is very cute.

  • Cathy B.

I adore this place! Love the outside decor and the plentiful cute chairs. I had a single scoop of mint chocolate chip on a cone and the scoop was ginormous. Me versus ice-cream for the first 10 minutes... The cashier was very helpful and courteous. Will definitely come back when I visit Cape Cod again.

  • Bill Z.

Is there some unofficial rule that there has to be as many ice cream parlors on Cape Cod as there are Dunkin Donuts? It feels that way, at least on Route 28. Doesn't matter to me - this is the only place I need. It's got a really appealing layout, starting outside. The wrap-around porch has lots of seating, as well as Adirondack chairs outside in the summer. They have a large sign near the outside entrance with the name and a description of each flavor. That's a really good idea, because it gives you an idea of what you might like before walking in and possibly standing at the counter making a decision. But don't worry, if you still aren't sure they'll let you sample everything. The flavors are cool - just different enough from other parlors and with names reflecting the local areas. Why is it that I have never found someplace else that has a flavor of chocolate which includes cinnamon in it? The price - $4.76 for a regular cone (but it's 2 scoops and you can vary them) is above average IMO, but probably reasonable for the Cape. But it's also good ice cream from a non-chain, and for that, it's worth it.

I think most of their flavors are relatively plain and boring but the one flavor I do enjoy is the cookies and cream. It's creamy and lots of Oreos in it! I wish they would spice up their flavors a little, but I understand it's all homemade and it's probably hard to have a big selection. The deck is a nice place to enjoy your cone, unless there are kids running around crazy everywhere which is often the case. I go later at night to avoid this. Overall, great place, but I only go when I'm craving some Oreo in my icecream! There usually always a line as well....

Best ice cream place in all of Cape Cod. Coming here for many years and surprised each time by the awesome new flavors. Love the locations. There is usually a large out the door wait. However, it moves quickly. Love the decor of the place, simple, but pretty. Love the flavors and the alliteration of their names. Try the coffee, double chocolate, cookies and cream, and peanut butter. The prices are quite high, but you probably can't find cheaper on the Cape. Plus, you get to sit outside and watch everyone good by (at least in the summer...) Go July fourth and watch the fireworks!

Really enjoyed the ice cream and service. My family of seven adults and three kids were served promptly and politely. The ice cream is absolutely delicious, especially the cake batter flavor. This is the second time I have come back since our vacation here two years ago and I am glad we stopped in.

Long lines makes it hard to look at all the different flavors, would have been nice to have some time to look it over- felt rushed nice service tho, offered me a sample and when my daughter dropped hers they gave us a new one no charge. Nothing super special but prolly better than DQ

We ate ice cream every night and this pace was better than blondies and the penguin. It was not the best I have ever had, but it was good enough for us to go back.

Really good ice cream! Fresh made on-site. Great range of flavors. I had a scoop of peanut butter and a scoop of cookie dough. I tried the cherry chocolate which was also awesome. Great employees, charming interior of the shop and a great patio out front.

We'd driven by this place several times, and I always loved the adorable row of adirondack chairs out front, so my boyfriend and I finally stopped in this week. It was a great place to grab ice cream, and we'll probably be back again on our next visit to Cape Cod. Cape Cod Creamery has a whole bunch of homemade, creative flavors of ice cream with cute Cape Cod-themed names, plus soft serve, and cool drinks like lime rickeys. For our first visit, we each got a sugar cone with two different flavors of ice cream. I got the Dennis Double Chocolate (chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips and cinnamon) and Bass River Black Raspberry. My boyfriend got the Tisbury Twix and another flavor with coffee ice cream, fudge, and graham crackers (I can't remember the name). We went outside and enjoyed our cones on the adirondack chairs, and it made for a lovely evening. The ice cream was pretty soft, which made it easier to melt all over our chairs and the ground, but it was nice and creamy, and I really appreciated the different flavors we got. (Chocolate and cinnamon are delicious together - who would have thought?!) Next time I'll make sure to get a cup to hold under my cone.

The triple C has the scoop on baller flavors. I'm a guy. And as a card-carrying member of BroNation, I probably shouldn't admit to my love of Cherry Chocolate Chunk in a sugar cone, but I do so I just did. A nice dark fruit in the soda shop swirl of sweet and creamy, balanced by the bitter brittle bite of the mixed-in chocolate. Oh, and what's this at the end? An edible cup. Booyah. 3C has this flavor on the regs (although it's city-friendly moniker is nowhere to be found), along with a few other tempting concoctions. Barnstable Bananas Foster replete with boozy rum tugs anyone? My kiddie cone fit the bill at $2.65, and the storefront is immaculate. Only a tick off perfect because the ice cream isn't the best I've ever had, but for cruising the Yarmouth strip, CCC is definitely worth a fly-by. Aaaand the subsequent episode of CSI on the treadmill.

Yum! Try the (not green like you are used to seeing) pistachio with slivers of pistachios. Coffee was good as well. Hubby liked the coconut. Nice wrap around porch with seating, plus extra seating on the front and side lawn areas.

April 1st, and Cape Cod Creamery is ready for the season! We stopped in to use a gift card won at an Easter Egg hunt (nice donation CC). This place hasn't been around as long as the Caboose down the road, but it could be a true contender in a very competitive industry here. The building is appealing, with a quaint white paint job and row of Adirondack chairs out front. You can also sit at one of the picnic tables on the side, or maybe best of all, enjoy your cone on the wrap-around porch! The ice cream is made on Cape Cod, super creamy, and a wide variety of fun flavors. Names are taken from local places like Chappaquiddick Cherry, Provincetown Pistachio or Orleans Oreo! Family owned and operated, this is a place this seems like a yummy place to support.

Yum. First scoop had hair in it, but after I got that replaced- could happen anywhere as you know, the ice cream was outstanding.

Service was OK. (I would prefer servers to pay attention to what I am ordering and not checking their cell phone). Ice cream was flavorful (got the sugar-free coffee - real ground coffee) but not creamy (very icy almost to the point of being crunchy). Very small portion in relation to price as compared to many other ice cream parlors around. Once is enough for me.

We have always avoided this place like the plague b/c of the long lines... went during one of their lulls and can't believe what we have been missing all these years! My Chapin Chocolate Cherry was incredible. Mr Bethany enjoyed some scandoulous concoction of chocolate ice cream with chocolate covered - peanut butter filled pretzels ( can't remember the name -- too involved in my cone). The kids enjoyed mint chip & straight chocolate ( the Boy child doesn't do "fancy" flavors). It actually cost less to get 4 small cones here than it did at DQ. PS -- check the Cape Cod books for coupons -- usually 10% your order. Enjoy!

I am always concerned when I have urges to consume ice cream. The reason being is that I have to willfully tell myself that the taste is going to far outweigh the negative reaction since I'm lactose intolerant. Two chalky vanilla lactaids later and I was ready to walk into the Creamery. Ice Cream shops always have this thick, creamy, sweet essence. It's like a fog of milk fat. Walking up to the framed ice cream flavors I was accosted by local twists on national flavors. I asked the young lady behind the counter what their top sellers were. She responded quickly that the Allen Harbor Almond Joy, The Vineyard Vanilla and the Orleans Oreo were their top three. I sampled the Almond Joy and the Oreo - both were decadently rich, without giving you that heavy on your tongue feeling. My eyes settled on the the Monomoy Mud Pie. It was supple on my tongue. Coffee and caramel and a bit of chocolate. However I let everyone with me order first, and not so lucky for me, Brit ordered the Mud Pie. Well there goes a wrench in my plans. When my turn came I had to jump on a flavor. She told me I needed the sampler, but after seeing the small single scoop, there was no way I could handle anything more than that. I blurted out "Oreo". While it was good, crunchy and rich. It wasn't the velvety creaminess of the Mud Pie. Brit relented and let me have some of hers - I could have easily taken a nap then and there. The shop is quaint, and the porch full of Adirondack chairs make enjoying their ice cream fun and easy. The fact that they make their own ice cream is definitely a plus. When we come back to the cape, I'll gladly suffer through being uncomfortable for hours for a small scoop of Monomoy Mud Pie.

Excellent. Nothing else can be said. Sitting in the porch eating a great Sunday Nothing better. Staff was very good. Great service. One of the best ice cream establishments on the cape.

This is some fantastic ice cream! They had a really great selection if favors at a very reasonable price. I got the almond joy flavor and it was one of the best ice cream flavors I've ever gotten. The rest of my group was similarly very pleased with the ice cream. The line also moved very quickly and the service was very good.

Very cute looking new England looking house with Adirondack chairs out front. The ice cream is so so with limited options for flavors and toppings. The service is also more mediocre than I am used to at other shops. I've had better ice cream in new England.

Felt just wrong going here over Four Seas- my old fave ice cream place on Cape Cod since I was about 3 years old. But let me tell you, the ice cream at CCC was good. Of course, my boyfriend ordered the better flavor (as usual). The chocolate ice cream was just divine. My mint oreo and chocolate chip flavors were pretty good. A bit too sweet though, unlike the regular chocolate flavor which was the perfect blend. Ice cream is super creamy and thick. All around, a nice first stop on our trip!

Ice cream is amazing!!! The staff here is SO RUDE!!!! the teenage girls who work here are literally annoyed they have to work here!!!! They always say something like "Can I get you something????" but with a really rude and annoyed tone....choose another job if you dont like scooping ice cream....which is delicious!

An awesome alternative to Sundae School in the same area. Awesome favors, reasonable prices, and they take credit card! My favorite flavors were Mud Pie, Caramel and Cherry Chocolate. Sundaes and frappes were solid. Definitely a great stop to make and it's not far from Rt. 6. Gotta love the Cape.

One of the best Ice Cream places on the Cape. Would give it 4.5 stars if I could but I just have an issue with charging this much for an ice cream cone. The lines can be long but that's a testament to their great tasting ice cream. I always go with my family and I can never have all my ice cream. Someone will always try some and like my unusual flavor (which are very creative), then trade for a while before realizing their own flavor was also wicked good too. Since I eat at a leisurely pace I usually lose out on the transition .... little do they know I win big time on their company. The pourch and adironack chairs are a nice plus. There are tons of great ice cream places on the Cape but this place, Sunday School and the Ice Cream Smugglers are amoung the best.

exceptional old fashioned country type ice cream place. Do not be nervous if the line is long, the folks working keep it moving quickly. My guess is the extra quality is due to it being made in small batches with extra butterfat! A bit pricey but ice cream does not get any better!

Superlative. This is the best ice cream on Cape Cod as far as I'm concerned. And it is also the best ice cream I've ever had. The lines get pretty long, but for a reason. It moves quickly though. The staff was generally fast and nice (and cute!). Parking can be tough, but even when people are parking on the residential street, there are often a couple spots in the lot left open. I couldn't even recommend a particular flavor. All of the ones that I've had have been excellent; just pick your favorite and go from there. Cannot recommend enough.

Love this place. Best ice cream on the Cape. The homemade ice cream is super creamy and delicious, and the flavors are unique. My favorites are Patti Page Peppermint and Craigville Caramel Crunch, but they're all good! They have rows of Adirondack chairs on the front porch and lawn of the building to enjoy your ice cream, and outdoor heaters at night to light up the night. Just be warned though, this place gets packed at times and the line stretches around the building. It moves pretty quickly and it totally worth it! Can't wait for my next cone!

AMAZING ice cream!!! My favorite spot to stop on the cape. The store itself is adorable with the adirondack chairs on the deck and lawn, so cute! All the flavors are pretty incredible and there is usually a line out the door. My only complaint is when it is busy the scooper girls can be crabby and kind of rush you along in your decision making. Sometimes even skipping right over you to take the next person in line rather than help you make a decision. Still, it's our family favorite and we will always come back!

I've had ice cream here a few times (I live on the Cape). I like it for the most part. In the summer, there's always a long line and the summer-hire ice cream servers are slow.

My family has been going to Sundae School in Dennisport for years, so it almost felt like sacrilege to betray my beloved ice cream parlor to visit Cape Cod Creamery, but I have no regrets! The ice cream is homemade on the premises, as are the waffle cones (and oh my gosh -- that delightful aroma is the stuff dreams are made of!!!). Each flavor is named after a place on the Cape... sure, it's kitschy but I think it's rather cute. The flavors I've tried: -Tisbury Twix: tastes delicious, but the frozen bits of caramel are a little difficult to chew. - Provincetown Pistachio: great! Real bits of pistachio!! - Sandbar Swirl (vanilla ice cream with fudge & peanut butter cup mixed in): the best of those I tried. Pretty unoriginal, I guess, but if it ain't broke...! If there's a line, don't let it deter you. It goes quickly, and it just may take that amount of time for you to decide on a flavor.

My boyfriend had been talking about this "amazing" gelato place that makes "the best" ice cream down at the cape, but he couldn't remember what the name of it was or even where it was located! After a day of mini-golfing and gorging ourselves on some awesome prime rib, decided to take a drive and find some belly satisfying gelato! We ended up never finding his gelato place, but ended up at this AMAZING place just down the street from where we were staying! It was a cold drizzly day (as it's been here in New England), and so the line wasn't long, but they were still kept pretty busy by the steady stream of customers! We shared the "sampler" - six scoops of delicious gelato that I picked (since I couldn't seem to make up my mind as to what flavor I wanted)! And... ohmigod. SO GOOD. The amazing part is that every flavor TASTED just like what it was supposed to. Bananas Foster? Tasted like fresh ripe bananas. Coffee? Tasted like my morning java with the perfect amount of cream and sugar. Peanut butter? Mmmm... I know we also had a Snicker bar in there somewhere, and a bunch of other mind blowing flavors. I had to stop after several bites as my lactose intolerancy decided to rear its ugly head, but my boyfriend ate all six scoops of that delectable ice cream up. Totally worth it. And get the sampler!!! It's a STEAL, and just... soooooooo good.

You must go here if you are in town for vacation. A local took us here. the custard was delicious and creamy. Great variety of flavors. My 16 year old daughter was with us and we enjoyed sitting out on the porch and enjoying the tasty treat.

During our vacation at the Cape, my sweet tooth friend had a huge interest and craving for ice cream. This was our 3rd ice cream stop and it was the best. All of us agreed on 5 stars for Cape Cod Creamery. One friend got Coconut ice cream. It was creamy, not overly sweet and coconut flavor really comes through. My other friend and I decided on the sampler since we found many flavors to our likely. 6 flavors - *coffee - I would TOTALLY get this again. LOVED it! Coffee flavor was definitely there and I like the tiny nibs. It gave some texture. *almond joy - this had flavor of coconut and bit and pieces of chocolate, not bad. *chocolate - the chocolate came through. not like the triple chocolate ice cream that I got from Ben and Bill's. I would get this again. *pumpkin - my friend thought this was the best of the 6 because the flavor of the pumpkin was there. *caramel crunch - as I am writing this review, I can't remember how caramel crunch was. It must have been not bad since nothing was left at the end. *peanut butter - peanut butter flavor came through. It was smooth and creamy. At the end, everyone of us were a happy camper. The ice cream was smooth and creamy. I think the sampler is worth the money. It was less than $6. It's like getting a scoop for less than a dollar.

While the ice cream was good, I found a piece of plastic in my ice cream. When I told the girl at checkout she was more interested in payment than in listening and possibly giving my ice cream for free. While the ice cream was good, I'll think twice before coming back you never know what might be randomly be in your ice cream.

In our last week on the Cape, my family has been trying to make sure that we visit all the popular local ice cream places at least once (yeah, we're not thin). We'd been to Four Seas (in Centerville, and our reigning favorite local ice cream), Black Cat Snack Shack (in Hyannis, and surprisingly good since they changed ice cream vendors two years ago), Sundae School (in Dennis, and only notable for the hot fudge), Katie's (in Hyannis, not a favorite of mine), Par-Tee Freeze (in Hyannis, and I may be getting the name wrong. The place with the mini golf on West Main. Fabulous soft serve!), and Emack and Bolio's (in Chatham, and totally worth the drive. Although not technically local ice cream since I think they started in Boston, they are hands down my favorite ice cream place on earth.). Okay, so now that you've taken my tour of Cape ice cream (and considered contacting my primary care physician to insist that he test my cholesterol as soon as I get home), let's get back to the point: Cape Cod Creamery. I had read all the reviews on TripAdvisor and Yelp, so I knew it was going to be incredibly busy when we got there. Since they name their ice creams after local attractions/towns, I noted the attributes of each flavor (i.e. Dennis Double Chocolate includes a hint of cinnamon, and Corporation Chocolate includes peanut butter filled pretzels) so that we would know what to order. [One other thing I noticed from some of the reviews was that people complained about the price per scoop, and I have to say that I thought CCC offered a great value. Yes, a single scoop costs $3.50, but they give you a LOT of ice cream for that price.] When we got there, the line was as long as we had anticipated. The line moves quickly, because the service area is incredibly well organized (which is really my only complaint about Four Seas, but I suppose I should reserved that tidbit on my review for them, right?). We ordered the Dennis Double Chocolate, Corporation Chocolate, and Monomoy Mud Pie. The ice cream at Cape Cod Creamery is probably the creamiest ice cream I have ever tasted in my life. It was obvious that it was all handmade, and it was delicious. I am glad that we went out of our way to try it. Is it the best ice cream on the Cape? In my opinion, no. However, I would say that it is the best ice cream in the Yarmouth area and definitely worth a try!

Excellent ice cream in a charming location. My parents make us take them here every time they visit. We love the unique flavors with their adorable names. And it's so much fun to sit in the Adirondacks. We've been 3 times now and I need to go back at least a dozen more so I can try every flavor.

I went to three ice cream establishments on the Cape. Sundae School in Dennis Port, Katies in Hyannis, and Cape Cod Creamery. I think that Cape Cod Creamery rates right up there in terms of quality, but I just didn't care for the flavors as much as I did at Sundae School. I had PLEASANT BAY PEANUT BUTTER and Dennis Double Chocolate. Both were very good, but the Dennis Double Chocolate was made with Cinammon. Making a Chocolate Ice Cream with Cinammon is like making brownies with nuts! Althought it's original, it detracts from the taste and richness of the chocolate. The Peanut Butter was good, but just good ... not outstanding. Judging by the lack of parking spaces and the lines, I would say that Cape Cod Creamery still rates way up there.
